Power of Perspective: Digital Storytelling

ELA

Imagine reading Little Red Riding Hood from the perspective of the wolf or Jack and the Beanstalk in the voice of the giant. When we ask students to consider the many sides to a story, they can learn how the point of view of the storyteller greatly impacts the story that's being told. Using popular children's stories to ground us, this workshop will present participants with strategies to build empathy through the power of perspective. Attendees will partake in an experiential demo lesson that integrates ELA content with digital media through the program Google Drawing.
