Dear Friend of KID smART,

We are nearing the halfway mark of another exciting, record-breaking school year in New Orleans. Fourteen public schools in the New Orleans area are participating in our flagship program, Creative Schools, which makes classrooms more joyful and effective places to teach and learn. Thanks to our many generous supporters, we are fostering an educational landscape of equitable instruction, empowered teachers, and joyful engagement in learning. We are thrilled with the school year's results thus far!

In the 2024 fall semester…

• 769 students have received high-quality arts-integrated instruction in their classrooms.

• KID smART Teaching Artists have co-taught arts-integrated classes for 1,760 hours alongside 49 public school educators.

• for the first time, we have begun Collaborative Residencies in two Jefferson Parish schools and in The Leah Chase School, the first directly-run NOLA public school in 18 years.

• 75 local educators have attended AXIS sessions and will be awarded $750 in stipends and art supply funding.

Many don’t realize that KID smART raises 80% of the almost $1,000,000 cost to ensure that every public school we work with has the opportunity to implement arts integration. Please consider making a gift by December 31 to help us reach our year-end fundraising goal of $60,000.
