Integrating the Arts with Primary Sources

More and more, state standards and curriculum require educators to employ primary sources in their instruction. In this workshop, participants will learn strategies for integrating the arts with primary sources in ways that enrich and deepen student learning. Participants will leave with an original artwork, a number of creative tools to help students engage with complex primary sources, and an understanding of reasons why arts strategies help students build connection and deeper understanding of content.
