These 3rd graders are learning how to read maps, and about the natural resources to be found in Louisiana.

We divided the class into groups of Louisiana resources, and used post-it notes to identify ourselves. Then, we turned our classroom into a map of Louisiana, and placed ourselves in the regions where we could be found.

We are also working on characteristics, and characterization, so we made sure that we physically represented our resources. Here we have wood, shrimp, and oysters!
