Who Am I?: Celebrating Identity & Difference through Collage

SEL

Students who experience emotional or behavioral challenges often struggle to be successful in school. Building social-emotional skills and literacy through visual art can help students manage their feelings in ways that increase their personal power and enhance safety, health, and happiness for themselves and those around them. This session focuses on celebrating students’ individuality and building self-esteem. Self-awareness and self-management are vital social-emotional skills, and in this workshop, educators will learn how to encourage students’ unique voices and creativity through the art of collage.
