Students in Mr. Washington’s 7th & 8th-grade intervention classes have been taking a deeper dive into the meaning of “renew” throughout the 2nd half of the year.  For their Legacy Project, we were able to “renew” an old discarded bench to a show-stopping piece that will share their art and messages with the RTP classes to follow them. This process took place over many classes of writing and responding, planning, learning about technique and finally collaborating to clean, prime, and paint the bench to create a truly original and unique piece that reflects every student!  This piece will live in RTP’s new location for all to see!
