Our Very First Project!

Mrs. Mossing’s 8th grade social studies class has been impressing me since our very first project together.  Our very first assignment was to translate a report they had written about Louisiana’s outside cultural influences into a three panel comic. The tools that we had recently learned about were the power of the narrator’s voice, setting and background, and costumes (you’ll see many of the characters have hats!).

Even with our very first project their intelligence, humor, and understanding of the content was shining through. Their projects were informative, beautiful, and sometimes hilarious! I was so impressed with their results, and we had only had two classes together at this point!! I cannot wait to see the ways in which they grow by the end of the semester.
