25 Years of KID smART

Twenty-five years ago, KID smART was founded to help children explore their creative potential and answer the call of imagination, both big and small. Since then, 70,000 children and educators have turned to our programs to do just that —explore new learning possibilities and express themselves through art.

We’ve found that fostering a lifelong love of learning is not about expensive tools or fancy pedagogy. Instead, it starts with a shift in how we approach education within the classroom and the broader community, which is why we've led the campaign for arts integration. We believe that art is a language, a means of connection and communication, and we've created environments where expression, critical thinking, and joyful engagement are valued.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary this year, we recognize that we haven't reached this milestone on our own. KID smART is a thriving arts education organization because of our family of dedicated educators, passionate supporters, and, most importantly, all the young people who have been part of our programs.

We’re excited about the possibilities ahead and the potential for our impact to grow in new ways as we continue to empower and transform the lives of even more learners.
