Stephanie Heriger
Director of Community Partnerships
Stephanie Heriger is an educator, musician, and musicologist, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She received her B.A. in Music from Dickinson College and her M.A. in Historical Musicology from the University of Michigan. She began her K-12 teaching career in New Orleans as a Special Education teacher at Sarah T. Reed Elementary, where she also participated in the KID smART AXIS program. She then spent seven years as the Education Programs Manager at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. Before joining the KID smART team, she taught seventh grade social studies and science at Dorothy Height Charter School. As KID smART Director of Community Partnerships, Stephanie manages both the Bloomberg Arts Internship New Orleans program and the New Orleans Arts Education Alliance. She has also presented nationally on arts education and on both classical and popular music topics. Stephanie is a singer and pianist, and an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
