KID smART's Partnership with Saint's Wide Receiver Kirk Merritt

KID smART is proud to join hands with Kirk Merritt, the talented Wide Receiver of the New Orleans Saints, in a transformative collaboration that has already sparked magic. Born and raised in Louisiana, Kirk is not only an exceptional football player but a passionate artist at heart. We are honored to join forces with him to celebrate and promote the arts in a truly unique way.

Our first event was a painting class, which witnessed 35 children experiencing the joy of art alongside Kirk. With Kirk as a guide, young artists painted their own interpretation of the Sain'ts iconic Fleur de Lis logo. Kirk's passion for the arts shone brightly, and his genuine connection with the children inspired them to recognize that everyone is an artist. It was a day of empowerment, where young minds discovered their creative potential, and we were privileged to witness the spark of imagination igniting in their eyes.

A big thank you to Mo’s Arts Supply for providing materials and Chez Clay for hosting us!

But this is just the beginning - we are also honored to announce that Kirk will be showcasing KID smART for the upcoming NFL's My Cause My Cleats fundraiser. This prestigious event allows players to design custom cleats representing a cause dear to their hearts.

For Kirk, that cause is empowering children through the arts.

Following the fundraiser, Kirk will donate his custom-designed cleats to the NFL Auction, with all proceeds from the sale going directly to KID smART. This incredible initiative will enable us to expand our reach and create even more transformative experiences for the young artists in our community.

The KID smART and Kirk Merritt partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration, where the worlds of sports and the arts intertwine to uplift, inspire, and empower. With the resounding success of our painting event and the forthcoming My Cause My Cleats initiative, we are confident that this partnership will leave a lasting impact on the lives of countless children.

We deeply thank Kirk for his support and genuine dedication to our cause. Together, we will continue to nurture creativity, celebrate artistic expression, and empower the next generation of young artists across Louisiana.
